“Marcel does not simply recount the story of his son; he shares a deeply personal account of his encounters with God, woven through the brief yet impactful life of a visiting angel who was with them for only a year and eleven months. I invite you to immerse yourself in this remarkable read.“
Marcel Jonté’s recollection of his son Joshua’s life and tragic end is one of the more sobering, heartrending books I have encountered in quite some time. This is surely intensified for me personally, as I have the distinct honor of knowing Pastor Marcel as a personal friend.
This book took me on a roller coaster of emotions. It was so vividly written that I could imagine and see everything as I read. I’m not usually a fan of reading books, but I finished this one in just two sittings. I was truly inspired and learned so much about accepting, recognizing, and trusting God’s bigger plan even when I can’t see the full picture or understand my present situation.
I feel more empowered now to continue trusting God and praising Him even in the valley, because “all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
Last night was the first time I ever read a book from beginning to end without stopping…and the spiritual goosebumps came when 1st Lady Chiaki mentioned the song playlist lasting 1:11…
1 couple, 1 Angel, 1 God …
Well written, transparency throughout, and a courageous walk with God by both persons.
Non-stop reading with tears, – but what stayed with me most deeply was Love. The love from parents to him, his love for parents, and the love of God surrounding them all.
Just before receiving this book, I saw the number, 111 randomly. This sweet angel is still speaking to me, reminding me of God’s love and that He is with us, always.
